Job Overview & Responsibilities

  

At ULA, the Oracle/PL SQL Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing database-driven solutions within a fast-paced Agile environment. This role focuses on building and maintaining robust Oracle-based applications through advanced SQL scripting and PL/SQL development, while ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability. The developer will play a key role in database tuning, performance optimization, and supporting Oracle version upgrades and in-memory configurations.

Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, this position involves analyzing production issues, enhancing existing code, and developing new solutions aligned with business requirements. The Oracle / PL SQL Developer will also contribute to CI/CD processes using tools like Git and Jenkins, and leverage Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting to support database operations. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as the role requires close partnership with business stakeholders to design efficient, data-driven solutions that meet organizational needs.

  • Oracle / PL SQL Developer with 4+ years of hands on experience with Oracle, SQL Scripting, and PL SQL Coding
  • Experience with Oracle version upgrades
  • Experience administering database connection administration
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle database tuning and performance analysis/optimization
  • Experience with Oracle in Memory configuration
  • Experience using Git, Jenkins.
  • Linux / Unix experience
  • Experience with fast paced Scrum Agile development
  • Must be able to multi-task and work collaboratively with the team.
  • Research prod issues by understanding the existing code as well as developing new code in Oracle PL SQL.
  • Experience with writing Shell Script with Oracle database calls.
  • Work closely with the business and application team to understand their requirements.
  • Attend business meetings to design applications, databases and provide optimal solutions.

Bachelor

 

Required Years of Experience

Minimum of 6 years of related work experience

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field from an accredited college or university
  • Advanced expertise in Oracle Database technologies, including complex SQL scripting and robust PL/SQL development for enterprise-level applications
  • Deep understanding of database architecture, including schema design, views, triggers, stored procedures, and database connectivity management
  • Proven ability to perform database performance testing, tuning, and optimization, leveraging analytics to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling and relational database principles, ensuring data integrity and optimal system performance
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain exceptional attention to detail while effectively balancing independent work and cross-functional team collaboration

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with GIT, Jenkins
  • Experiance with SAP ERP Systems
  • Experiance with Teamcenter PLM Systems
  • Experience managing middleware applications

Summary Salary Range (for ULA - Denver only):  $121,307.00 - $202,178.00

Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
