Job Overview & Responsibilities
As a Payroll Representative 2 at United Launch Alliance, you will provide key support within the finance team in Denver, CO. Responsibilities include:
- Process biweekly payroll including preparing and reviewing all analytics to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare all downstream activities including posting to the general ledger, sending direct deposits, check positive pay file and all outbound files.
- Reconciling and preparing all Tax payments and Garnishment payments.
- Reconciling all saving plan withholdings and payments including review to ensure that all 401k limits are followed and correct payment is remitted.
- Processing new hire pay checks and ensuring payments are accurate.
- Processing terms including any time off balance payouts, reviewing any claw backs needed and complying with state deadlines for timeline of final checks. Includes Severance processing when applicable.
- Integral in weekly testing, documentation and implementing system changes needed to comply with changes in state, federal laws, company policy and actions, and changes in collective bargaining agreement.
- Prepare and analyze annual IDT Intermittent Duty Travel for salaried employees travel and subsequent tax adjustments required to comply with state tax laws.
- Provide monthly reconciliations of payroll GL accounts for the benefit of financial states.
- Ensure all 3rd party payments for the payroll are remitted correctly from Accounts Payable.
- Provide customer service to employee inbound questions.
- Review LOA’s for proper payment and proration in biweekly payment and needed retroactivity.
- Provide data to support audits from both internal audit and outside agencies.
Required Education
High School/GED
Required Years of Experience
Minimum of 2 years of related work experience
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in payroll, preferably in the complete payroll cycle.
- Understanding of Federal, state and local payroll regulations.
- Understanding of the Payroll processing systems.
- Basic knowledge of accounting.
- Intermediate Excel and Microsoft skills.
- Demonstrated written communication skills and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Some College/Associate’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
- Experience in SAP and Success Factors/Employee Central Payroll is highly preferred.
Summary Salary Range (for ULA - Denver only): $63,239.00 - $105,398.00
