Job Overview & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the acceptance of product processing within an avionics Software Integration Lab (SIL) environment. This includes, but is not limited to, understanding and following work instructions in support of hardware and testing, adhering to processes associated with receiving inspection, and monitoring area surveillance in compliance with AS9100.
- Performs inspections to design specifications, testing mechanisms, and equipment.
- Responsible for the documentation and control of nonconforming products or materials that do not meet the required standards and specifications.
- Responsible for command media assessments/audits within the areas supported including SIL, receiving inspection, and warehouse areas.
- Responsible for metrology tool management capturing tool calibration, logging, submitting, and controlling calibrated tools and equipment.
- Implements Quality operating procedures, practices, and standards that represents Quality objectives and strategies that are critical to organizational success. Interprets and consistently executes company policies and procedures.
- Ensures that corrective action measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
- Collaborates with engineering, supply chain management, and manufacturing functions to ensure adequate quality standards are in place.
- May specialize in the areas of hardware inspection, electrical test support, incoming material, production control, 3D printing, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.

Required Years of Experience
Minimum of 6 years of related work experience
Basic Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 years related work experience in the field of Quality Assurance in an aerospace, manufacturing, or related field.
- Experience in an Avionics Software Integration Lab testing environment.
- Experience with avionics components and procedures related to environmental and ESD practices.
- Experience with metrology systems, process, and techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to understand engineering drawings and associated specifications (can include coursework).
- Ability to identify root cause and corrective actions for anomaly conditions.
- Must meet minimum vision requirements and demonstrate the ability to hear pure tone thresholds as specified by the relevant contractual agreement, regulation and/or company occupational health guide.
- Analytical ability to evaluate, interpret, and assimilate data into useable information and provide recommendations based upon results.
- Quality background with understanding of AS9100 standards, RCCA and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university.
- Highly proficient in computer usage and MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent communication oral and written, presentation skills with the ability to easily interface with peers, leaders, and customers.
- Familiarity with SAP inventory, planning, and nonconformance modules.
- Pulling, understanding and emphasizing key quality metrics.
- Proficiency with Atlassian collaboration tool suite.
- Green Belt certification.
- Highly flexible in work schedule.
- Ability to work under pressure, problem-solve, communicate effectively, work and lead in a team setting, and possess strong interpersonal skills are needed.
Summary Salary Range (for ULA - Denver only): $65,481.00 - $109,136.00
Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
