Job Overview & Responsibilities

  

As a Senior Compensation Specialist Lead, this individual will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and support of the company’s compensation programs and will as internal consultant to HR business partners and managers on various compensation-related matters. This role reports to the Senior Leader of Total Rewards and HRIS.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the annual merit / salary planning process and short / long-term incentive calculations including system configuration and testing, data manipulation and audit, coordination with HRIS/payroll, and development and distribution of individual employee communication.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners (HRBP) to review compensation for new hires, promotions, and transfers, ensuring offers and decisions are competitive and aligned with compensation philosophy.
  • Serve as a compensation subject matter expert in contributing to the process / design of HRIS SuccessFactors compensation planning tools.
  • Work with HR Business Partners to review job content and prepare job descriptions reflecting job responsibilities, activities, duties, and requirements, serving as the expert that ensures alignment of jobs across the organization.
  • Create and deliver training and communications materials designed to educate employees, managers and HR staff on compensation strategies and programs.
  • Conduct research, quantitative analysis, data modeling, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand trends to support strategic decisions.
  • Participate in and lead various HR compensation related projects including market studies, equity reviews, policy interpretation, and incentive plans.
  • Mentor and train other team members as needed.

 

Required Education

Bachelor

 

Required Years of Experience

Minimum of 6 years of related work experience

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university. 
  • Experience with SuccessFactors or other Cloud HRIS.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to compensation.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation principles, job evaluation, and market benchmarking.
  • Advanced interpersonal and communications skills to establish rapport with a wide variety of constituents including clients, colleagues, and all levels of management.
  • Strong writing skills to develop correspondence, procedures, reports, job analysis findings and other materials as needed.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Must be able to embrace change, adjust to shifting priorities, and navigate challenges thoughtfully.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • High Tech industry experience preferred.
  • Pay Factors or other pricing tool experience preferred.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) accreditation preferred.

Summary Salary Range (for ULA - Denver only):  $98,866.00 - $164,777.00

Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
