Job Overview & Responsibilities

  

As a technical expert on the Configuration Integration team you will be responsible to lead the team to drive and execute ULA's processes and procedures for Configuration Management and End Item Allocations.

  • You will be a focal to the enterprise to support and maintain the configuration baseline via the allocation of End Items and reassignments as necessary.
  • You will work across the value streams to enhance processes and create improvements while maintaining configuration control.
  • You will be a primary point of contact for the enterprise for the Configuration Management team.

What you need: 

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Detailed knowledge of configuration management processes and procedures
  • Experience with configuration identification, change control, status accounting, audit and data management
  • Experience working to EIA-649, ISO and AS9100 requirements
    Detailed knowledge of the ULA drawing release system and processes
  • Ability to review and assess data integrity against standards and train others to understand and adhere to those standards
  • Perform data and document reviews and provide feedback for technical and program documentation
  • Support the definition, analysis, and recommendation of Trade Study options related to system impacts
  • Experience with production and launch operations
  • Experience briefing senior leaders and customers
    Ability to tackle and fix complicated cross organizations challenges and conflicts
  • Extensive Knowledge of Team Center
  • Extensive Knowledge of Model Base Engineering

 

Required Education

Bachelor

 

Required Years of Experience

Minimum of 4 years of related work experience

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related echnical frield from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience with Configuration Integration or related field
  • Developing and maintaining system requirements and baselines
  • Collaborating with a diverse team to communicate system capabilities and requirements
  • Experience reviewing technical products and acting as a technical interface
  • Skills in developing and reviewing system engineering artifacts
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
  • Knowledge and application of Systems Engineering processes and one or more Systems Integration functions including:

    a) System trade studies methodology and/or System modeling
    b) Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development
    c) System Integration, Test and/or Verification
    d) Test planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependencies
    e) Design reviews

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
  • Knowledge of industry standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to requirements management, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
  • Demonstrated ability to team across organizational boundaries and geographical locations to collaborate with and influence others
  • Ability to work effectively with Senior Leadership and Customers.

Summary Salary Range (for ULA - Denver only):  $95,773.00 - $159,622.00

Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
