Job Overview & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will join a small elite team advancing cutting edge technology. In this position you will:
- Work in a development and rapid prototyping environment
- Manufacture development parts using shop best practices
- Performing machining using lathes, 3 and 5 axis machines, drill press, sanding belts
- Use shop tools to create and build hardware
- Work in a maintained clean environment.
- Interpret standard work instructions.
- Maintain assigned work areas.
- Comply with all safety rules.
- Ensure that equipment is used in accordance with established safety and operating procedures.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and calibrations up to date
- Maintain and perform tool control
- Maintain the area 5S ready
- Work with engineers to define best practices for machining and 3D printing
Required Education
High School/GED
Required Years of Experience
Minimum of 4 years of related work experience
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years working in a machine shop environment.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, detailed written work instructions, and other printed or graphical instruction.
- Experience with CNC Machining.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs., bend, kneel, squat, stoop, work overhead, reach above shoulder level, sit, stand, walk (sometimes on uneven surfaces), and climb.
- Ability to perform work with both hands which may involve forceful grasping, repetitive motion with low impact vibration.
- Must be able to climb and work from ladders, platforms for extended periods of time, awkward positions and in high places.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Aerospace Manufacturing.
- Experience with WIRE EDM.
- Background in additive manufacturing.
- Experience with NC Programming.
- Experience with Metal Additive Manufacturing Printers.
Summary Salary Range (for ULA - Denver only): $55,509.00 - $86,688.00
Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
