Job Overview & Responsibilities
- Prepare schedules for production work and performs and/or assists in schedule analyses such as critical path, schedule margin, and variance analysis, negative float resolution, and schedule integration/risk assessment as desired.
- Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, transportation, etc.
- Plans, prepares, issues and controls project management schedules within a control system (SAP).
- Coordinates with appropriate functions to ensure successful completion to support production requirements.
- Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
- Coordinates routinely with engineering on changes, span times, and process flows.
- Develop and deliver periodic and ad hoc reporting and analysis supporting management decision making and performance measurement.
- Provides general project management support to Production Operations.
Required Education
Bachelor
Required Years of Experience
Minimum of 2 years of related work experience
Basic Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with scheduling in a production environment.
- Proficiency in the MS Office software suite and the ability to quickly learn other tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to communicate with all levels of management.
- Must be able and willing to work overtime to support operations.
- Analytical and problem solving skills; thinks independently.
- Applies conventional approaches to resolve moderately complex problems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with:
- Project Management
- ERP system such as Orbits, SAP, etc.
- Microsoft Project
- Demonstrated ability working on teams in a very dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability with:
- Attention to detail
- Multi-tasking in a fast paced environment
- Driving projects to meet deadlines
- Leading team
- Deliver clear and concise messaging to management based on facts and data
- Industrial engineering experience and/or experience with performing time studies.
