Job Overview & Responsibilities
As an Organizational Learning & Development Specialist 4, you will be the driving force behind building and sustaining a world-class training ecosystem that empowers our Production Operations workforce. In this role, you will:
- Design & Deliver Training: Lead delivery of electrical, mechanical assembly, manufacturing, and safety training programs for employees at all levels across Production Operations.
- Apply Instructional Design Expertise: Develop engaging and effective learning materials—including presentations, lesson plans, exercises, simulations, job aids, and assessments—using proven adult learning principles.
- Develop Digital Learning Solutions: Build interactive e-learning content with authoring tools (Adobe Captivate, Articulate Studio/360, or similar) to scale training access and impact.
- Collaborate with Experts: Partner with Environmental Health & Safety, Material & Process Engineering, and other SMEs to ensure training aligns with current regulations, standards, and organizational requirements.
- Evaluate & Improve Programs: Conduct needs assessments, measure training effectiveness, and continuously refine course material based on feedback and performance outcomes.
- Consult on Performance: Work with internal customers to identify skill gaps, create in-house solutions, and prepare employees for expanded responsibilities.
- Lead & Manage Projects: Take ownership of training initiatives, coordinate cross-functional efforts, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of learning programs.
- Leverage Advanced LMS Expertise: Manage curriculum, course catalogs, qualifications, certifications, assignments, and rosters while ensuring compliance and accuracy within the Learning Management System.
- Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep current on the latest learning theories, motivational strategies, and instructional technologies to bring innovation into ULA’s training environment.
- Adapt & Support Operations: Provide training across shifts and locations to meet business needs in a dynamic production setting.
Required Education
Bachelor
Required Years of Experience
Minimum of 6 years of related work experience
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Background in instructional facilitation.
- Experience in course design for technical skills training such as electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, etc.
- Strong collaboration, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Knowledge and application of adult learning principles.
- Able to flex schedule to accommodate shift training needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training, Organizational Development or a related field.
- Advanced Adobe Captivate and/or Articulate 360 authoring skills.
- HRIS experience (Success Factors Learning for example).
- Advanced MS Office skills.
